Tomorrow is the opening day at Les Grands Montets so it seems the obvious place to head to this weekend. Even still I hear many people saying "ah, I'll not bother - it'll be too busy". The more people that think this means all the more room for those that head up there.
They have been working hard preparing the pistes up there and they look in excellent condition. In the past the opening weekend at Les Grand Montets has been some of the best piste conditions of the whole season. This is an opportunity to make the most of the good conditions and the space on piste before more holiday makers arrive.
The latest update says that Compagnie du Mont Blanc plan to open: Lognan Cable Car, Plan Joran Chairlift, Bochard, Tabé Chairlift and Marmottons Chairlfit
It'll be a sociable day too - a chance to catch up with friends before we head into the busy festive period.
