Chamonix Ski Weekend Forecast

The conditions continue to be superb in Chamonix with there being more snow than I have ever seen in my life time. There is 4.5 metres of snow at the top of Les Grands Montets. This is reported to be more than anywhere else in Europe.
However this weekend we are set to see some of the coldest temperatures this year. It is forecast to be -20 degrees in the valley. My recommendation for this weekend is to wrap up warm and head for the sun. You'll get most sun at Brevent and Flegere where there is over 3 metres of snow. Alternatively you could head down to Les Houches to watch the world famous Kandahar Men's World Cup ski race. Race start is at midday but be sure to get there early to get a good spot.
