Winter is here ... and so are the smiles
This week was the 2nd Ski Performance for Mountaineers course of the season. It was great to see 4 groups out and about, 2 with myself and 2 with Dee O'Neill. The idea of these courses has been to bring together like-minded people, so it is excellent to see people go away with not only new skiing skills but also new friends and skiing partners.
It really felt like winter had arrived this week with the temperature being more what we expect at this time of year. We found some great snow to ski with there being snow falls on both Monday and Thursday.
Today we skied at Brevent which was my first trip to that side of the mountain this year. Conditions are much improved from what was reported earlier on in the season. We were able to ski one of the couloirs underneath the Col Cornu chairlift, but we needed to do so with care as there were still some rocks showing through.
It's amazing what some new snow and colder temperatures can do for morale ...
