Ski Performance for Mountaineers

7th Feb 2014

Today was the final day of the February Ski Performance for Mountaineers course and we couldn't have asked for better conditions for it.  As forecast, it started snowing at around 0830 and it put down 30cm - 50cm at 200om at Les Grands Montets by lunchtime.  It really felt like the snow that we have all been waiting for.  You can get an idea of the amount of snow from this picture and just being able to see the skier's head!

It's been a great week for learning to ski all of the conditions that off-piste can throw at us; steep, narrow, bump, chopped up powder and the deep powder that we had the pleasure of skiing today.  With more snow on the forecast for the weekend and into next week it looks like we are going to have plenty more powder to ski over the next few days.
