Where can I buy insurance?

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are adequately insured for the courses that you book. We recommend BMC insurance and Snowcard. Carré Neige, which is available in resort when you buy your lift pass, does not cover you for ski touring, but will cover you for off-piste skiing from the lifts in France. Search and rescue insurance is available from the Office de Moyenne et Haute Montagne (DIOT Insurance) in Chamonix (currently 5.50 Euro per day).

Where should I hire ski equipment from?

Ski Perf is an excellent shop in Les Houches with a friendly owner - an excellent place to get your skis serviced too. Sanglards in Chamonix offer a great service, have their own parking, and you can hire ski touring equipment and transceivers from them too. If you are skiing at Grand Montet then Grand Montet Sports are right at the bottom of the lifts making it easy to pick up your equipment or ski touring kit.

Ski Breezy is ideal for single people on courses or a groups of friends.  It is a good way to meet other people. It has a very relaxed atmosphere with emphasis on lots of excellent home cooking and flowing wine.

For luxury chalet accomodation contact Breathe and Believe for availability in Chalet Annabelle.

For hotel accomodation in Chamonix Hotel Chaumiere is a great option.  It's has it's own parking, it's possible to walk to the centre of town and the food is delicious. Hotel Le Dahu is a good option for staying in Argentière, as is Hotel Les Lanchers in Les Praz.

Le Chamoniard Volant provides one of the cheapest options in the valley, and Tupilak is extremely good value (but you'll need a car for staying here).

Clients have also found Les Randonneurs to be very good value it is ideally located for skiing at Les Grands Montets.
