A "quiet" half term week

23rd Feb 2013

After one of the busiest New Year weeks I have ever known I was preparing myself for the same last week; long lift queues, limited parking and a long drive home.  I was delighted to see that it never materialised.

The pistes were in excellent condition for the UK's main half term week and the sun was out most of the time.  I was working with the one family all of last week.  With parking not being a problem it meant we could change between the resorts during the day to ski wherever was best for the individual (and follow the sun!).  We also managed to escape the holiday makers with a descent from Le Tour down the Nant Noir to Trient.  There was still fantastic powder at the top.

Today I have been out skiing with Marta at Les Grands Montets and again we were surprised how few people were there for the time of year.  Let's see what happens next week when the Paris holidays begin...
