Cabane Plan de Jeu

Last week saw some incredibly rapid temperature changes in the Chamonix valley. Mid week we were basking in the sun in 27 degrees, eating ice cream by the lake and even contemplating swimming in it. On Thursday we had a lovely day rock climbing through in Italy. Then on Saturday the temperature was back down below 0 degrees and we were clearing snow off the car!
This weekend had always been pencilled as the weekend for Marta's first ski tour. The conditions weren't ideal but we discovered the Cabane Plan de Jeu, one if the cosiest huts that I have ever been to. The approach is short and safe, and put us in a good position for visiting the Monastery at Grand St Bernard the following day.
I wonder what the weather will bring this week...
