Eagle Ski Club

During the last week we have had a number of courses running for the Eagle Ski Club, the UK's most active ski touring club.
The programme started in Scotland, with a weekend of off-piste technique coaching with Gillian Parker and Andy Nelson. Scotland has seen severe weather prior to the course which brought some fresh snow. Luckily the winds were to drop enough for the lifts to open.
Here in Chamonix we ran a "Ski Performance for Mountaineers" course specifically for club members. It's always good to see some returning faces (although I'm not sure if this is a good advert for the course or not!) and meet some new club members. The course finished with an optional day ski touring at Combloux with Jonny Baird.
Over the weekend James Thacker has been running an introduction to ski touring course, to give members the opportunity to develop theirs skills to become a competent member of a touring party.
It's always great to work with members of the Eagle Ski Club, and see their skills and technique improve. There are some photos from the courses here.
